The Accelerated Freefall Programme originated in America in 1978.
It was developed by Ken Coleman, an international skydiving competitor and owner of a major
parachute centre, as an alternative to the traditional method. AFF follows a different route
to the same goal - an alternative and more efficient way of gaining your A licence for skydiving.
This method allows the student to progress 3 to 5 times faster than the original static line method,
mainly due to the fact that there is a longer exposure to continuous freefall. The AFF
programme follows guide-lines laid down by the United States Parachute Association and the
British Parachute Association. Instructors in the UK and throughout the world have used AFF
successfully for many years. |
